DEPARTMENT OF NUTRITION AND DIETETICS

The department of nutrition & Dietetics was started in 2013 - 2014. This course is job oriented and the students completing this course have a wide variety of choice of opportunities in selecting their job. They can either start their own business or work as dietitians. Very few colleges OPT for this course and our college is one such college giving this opportunity to our students. Achievements in 2015 - 2016

1. P. Jagadeesan II B.Sc won the third prize in 100 mts swimming and 200 mts swimming in Bharathidasan University level Competition held at Poondi Pushpam women college, Nagapattinam on 20th August, 2015.
2. P.Janakiraman, II B.Sc N&D student won the second prize.
3. P.Jagadeesan had got third prize in 400 mts running and P.Janakiraman had won first place in 1500 mts running in inpl, vellore.
4. P. Jagqadeesan had got first place in 1500 mts running in the college competition.
5. P.Jagadeesan had won fifth place in Karur Marathan competition and P.Janakiraman had got third place in the same competition.
6. P.Jagadeesan had got 9th jplace in 10 km marathon.
7. P.Jagadeesan had won first prize in 6 km marathon competition at Puliyur which was held on 20.02.2016.
8. P.Jagadeesan had got Second prize in 200 mts relay in our college competition.
9. R.Suryaprasanth, Ist B.Sc had got 3rd prize in solo song and 2nd prize in cooking competition.
10. M.Manivel, II B.Sc had got first prize in "pencil drawing" and "Flower arrangement" Competition.
11. K.Manimuthu, II B.Sc had won second prize in "solo song".
12. D. Hariharan, II B.Sc had got third prize in "Cooking without Fire" competition.
13. Ramya and sumithra, II B.Sc had got third prize in "Rangoli".
14. A.Devaraj, II B.Sc had won second prize in "flower arrangement" competition.
